I have always grown up with dogs. We started off with just two, then when I was a teenager we slowly made our way up to 7 family dogs. Whether they were the puppy from our litter that we just couldn't part with, to a dog we reclaimed after being neglected, to a dog being dropped off at our home with a note-we always said yes to a dog in need, so volunteering for Coco's Heart was second nature to me. I started out working at a vet clinic cleaning kennels as a way to be with animals when I was 15. I worked my way up to Veterinary Technician and continued for 7 years. After I left the field I wanted to find a way to help animals profoundly the way I could at a vet clinic. I began fostering dogs, mainly litters of puppies, about 9 years ago. I began fostering with CHDR about 4 years ago and will never leave! I feel blessed to continue as a Foster Mentor after foster failing Big Mac-a CHDR foster, making him dog #3 in my home. I also have Sage-6 yo lab/golden retriever, and Jenkins-3 yo boxer/pit mix. I have three cats-Kiki, Baby Cat and Luna, along with a 7 yo daughter.
