History: Momma Ariel arrived to rescue along with newborn puppies that had all been dumped at an overcrowded shelter. She has settled into a foster home and is doing great. Her pups were adopted months ago but she had to wait and undergo heart-worm treatment. She has completed treatment and is ready for adoption! She is super shy and skittish in new situations. She will need a patient and committed family to welcome her home-she is worth the extra effort tenfold.
A note from the foster: Ariel was a skinny scared rescue from Joplin, MO. Doesn't specify if she gave birth to eight (8) pups on the streets or in the shelter. She came to rescue with her five puppies, three died at the shelter. She is a very shy dog and only trusts a couple of people. Ariel worked with a specialist and her potential was recognized and is improving with her socializing. She is so very sweet and motherly. She loves all the rescues that come and go. She pays special attention to the puppies. There was a time when Ariel would not get into vehicles she was so scared, she has no problem now. She enjoys going for walks. She mostly enjoys attention....she can't ever get enough. Ariel doesn't need a crate and hates them! She used to have separation anxiety, but is much better now that she knows we're coming back home after work. She loves kids. She loves to nestle up close until you pet her. She is her foster mom's shadow.
