Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is a foster-based, volunteer-driven rescue and has found loving homes for over 19, 320+ animals including dogs, cats, pocket pets, and even farm animals since May 2010. We spent approximately $1,150,000 on animal care expenses in 2021. We will have updated information to share for 2023, the year 2022 was very much a year of transition with our move to in-house care, equipment purchases and general set-up, etc... We appreciate your support!

Please consider making a tax deductible donation. We rely solely on the generosity of supporters, like you to give so many animals the chance and care that they deserve!

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an effort grounded in love, dedication and determination. Now a nonprofit organization, CHDR is 501 (c)3 status. State of Wisconsin licensed and inspected: 400340-DS. We rely solely on volunteers and donations to support our rescue effort.  We are based out of the Twin Cities area, where all of our animals live in approved foster homes before going to their forever homes. We value the importance of the highest quality veterinary care and finding loving foster and forever homes for every animal that comes to Coco's Heart.  Come meet our volunteers and animals at our adoption events!

CHDR rescues animals in need without discriminating against breeds or ages. The rescue operates with the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, all working toward the common goal of saving the lives of animals in need, and giving them the love they deserve.  We are foster based out of the Twin Cities, and we hold events in the surrounding areas.  Every animal that comes to Coco's Heart receives the highest quality veterinary care and a loving temporary home from dedicated foster families.  CHDR's adoption process ensures that every animal goes to the most loving forever home.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Coco's Heart Dog Rescue is a primarily volunteer-driven organization that welcomes animals to rescue from unfortunate situations and houses them in volunteer foster homes while preparing them for adoption placement. We focus on evaluating each animal’s needs, provide high quality veterinary care, and work towards finding them a life long match with an adoption placement. We strive to educate our community on the importance of rescue, our specific rescue efforts, responsible pet ownership, and the difference each person can make on the lives of animals in need.
