History: We recently received a plea to help an adorable litter of lemon and white beagle pups. Andy, being the oldest at 3 years old. They arrived to rescue eager to get a new start to life and work on gaining some weight as they arrived underweight and in sad shape. They are each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Andy was recently returned to rescue, a beagle and shared walls just weren’t a good fit. He is about 3 years old and weighs about 19lbs. He is up to date all vaccines and neutered.
He loves chew toys, running as fast as he can outside chasing and being chased by our dog Henry. He also is an awesome snuggler.
As he has become more comfortable, he has also become a bit more vocal, usually when playing or when he is startled. Currently he does not bark when people come, not even at the Amazon drivers who come often.
When he was adopted Andy showed signs of separation anxiety. We had not seen this while fostering him but realized he was never actually alone, Henry was always nearby. We have separated them when we left to see how he would do and he is very scared, cries and parks. Because of this we think he would do best in a house with another dog.
Andy does well in his crate, as long as he isn’t alone. He will even go in there during the day to nap. He is not crated at night.
Andy is a breeder release and just learning how good it is to just be a dog. He has a lot of energy when he plays but sleeps just as hard. Please fill out an application to meet him today.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
