Richard’s LOVE for food was the biggest catalyst for his recovery. Eating is what motivated Richard through his surgeries. He would walk for his hay, he would do his physical therapy if hay was involved.
Hay is not only needed for his daily diet but also to continue with helping him gain his strength back every single day. It’s his food source and so important for him!

Richard’s hay is supplied by a local farmstead called St Croix Valley Farmstead. The farmstead is a woman owned business that provides high quality hay for a variety of animals, shares wholesome food to our local community, and opens opportunities to learning new trade skills. Located in the heart of the St. Croix River Valley just south of Somerset, WI (30 minutes east of St. Paul, MN). The farm sits on just over 300 acres that has been in the family since the 1940's. We appreciate there love and support for Richard!
