History: Alix is a super adorable little girl who needed a second chance to a good life. She catches the eye of anyone who she sees with how beautiful she is and is hoping to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: This 3-year-old female black and tan tipped cocker spaniel is a DREAM girl. She arrived to rescue from an unfortunate breeder situation but has not let that affect her. She is the friendliest, happiest, sweetest girl and has a zest for exploring and learning about her new world. She is quiet, we have yet to hear her make a peep or bark, whine or whimper. Loves to be right by your side or hang out in her kennel or on the floor. She learned stairs quickly, will sit for a treat or before we go outside and she is learning come. She loves nothing more than to be outside on a walk. When she sees other people or dogs she wags her tail with excitement to meet them. She is a sniffer on a walk in true cocker fashion; discovering all the smells there are outside. She has not had an accident at our home but takes a while to do her lady business outside; prefers to go on a walk to get it done. She is learning about toys; likes a chew bone or ball, a stuffy or soft thing but is easily entertained looking out the window too. Let us know if you want to meet her as she is ready to find her forever home soon!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
