History: Amazing Grace is a beautiful gal who was a local stray and needed help urgently. She was extremely emaciated and in need of some TLC badly. She was welcomed to rescue with the help of a wonderful committed foster family and got her name thanks to one of our supporters. She has been feeling better each and every week and is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Sweet Gracie arrived very malnourished. She’s recovering amazingly well in the 3 weeks she's been in rescue and continues to gain weight. Her personality is starting to show now and turns out she is a cute little sassy pants with her woofs for food or belly rubs or just saying hi. She gives the best greetings with her full body wiggles.
She is potty trained on a schedule. Still working on being comfortable in her crate but settles down after 5 minutes or so. She has been left out alone in her room for a few hours at times with no issue and has never gotten into anything she shouldn't have. Steps are hard for her sometimes but she started a joint supplement to see if that will help. With that in mind it might be best to go to a home where she doesn't need to do a lot of stairs daily or a family that's able to carry her occasionally if she's having a hard time. She is hard of hearing but just clap your hands and hold out your arms and she'll come trotting to you without fail.
Gracie is a super sweet and happy girl who has clearly been through a lot and would love a forever home to shower her with all the love and attention she deserves.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
