History: Archie is a super handsome fella who was surrendered to rescue from a commercial breeding facility. He is such a sweet boy who is hoping to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: My name is Archie and I am a Great Dane. Some people might joke that I’m like a horse but they don’t know all my body. I have my head which is used for scratches. My tail is used to hit the ground when I’m dreaming. My ears are like an elephants, just hanging there. My legs are gentle and allow me to play with soft toys and my foster brothers. Speaking of toys, I am learning how to play with them. I especially like when my foster dad plays with me. I enjoy taking lots of naps through the day. I am learning to go potty outside; I have accidents sometimes and do better when I go outside regularly. I keep my kennel clean minus my drool…it’s got to somewhere. Oh, I should mention that a trail of water follows me after I drink-I’m not sure how that happens though. I am adjusting to my kennel and being quiet in it; I prefer to sleep with someone talking or videos/audio playing. I’m learning who I am and being confident. I am so excited to meet my forever family!! My foster parents would love to tell you about my silly personality and answer any questions you have.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
