History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hello world, I’m Bella and I am so excited to meet you! I’m a medium sized puppy with a shiny black coat – although up close I am actually dark brown. I have some white socks and the white on my chest looks like a bowtie. My foster parents think that makes me look pretty special. I am from a shelter in Texas where I spent the first 7 months of my life. I’m really enjoying my life in the Midwest! This is my first chance of living with a family, and I LOVE it!
I have made quite the impression on my foster family which includes a mom, dad, human sister and 2 dog brothers. Family life is great!
Things I love:
• Cuddling and petting
• Playing with all types of fun toys (kongs, antlers, treats, stuffies)
• Walks in the park
• Chasing squirrels and birds (on a leash of course)
• Dinner time
Things I am good at:
• Asking to go outside for potty
• Sleeping in my crate
• Chewing or licking for hours while my foster parents work
• Giving Love, Love, and more Love!!
I am dreaming of a forever home where I can be your loyal best friend. Maybe you’re someone who loves evenings with a furry pal by your side or maybe you’ve got a busy family who would like a sweet dog to join in on the fun – I think I would fit right in either way!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
