History: I am Lucy’s puppy!
Lucy is a beautiful pittie mix momma who arrived to rescue from one of our partnering organizations in North Dakota with her litter of pups. Lucy had been abused prior to finding rescue with our partner and had been working hard on her trust building. She has been a wonderful momma and her puppies are officially ready to find forever homes of their own!
Lucy and two of her puppies, Barry and Bernard had been found to have heart murmurs and are not ready for adoption quite yet. Stay tuned for them!
A Note from the Foster: Bowie the Ham here!
I am 9 weeks old, weighing in at almost 15 lbs. I am a beautiful fawn color, and in the sunshine, there is a hue of cream that glows. Striking I must say
Foster mommy says I am a ham and a half! I am a silly boy who’s on the go! I love to play, play, play! Don’t let the playing fool you, I will make sure to visit you for many kisses and snuggles in the mist of my adventures. I love playing outside chasing my brother Bruno. We also love chasing after blowing leaves.
I am confident and have learned to tackle the steps going outside, up, and down, with no problem.
Foster mommy says it’s time to be a big boy. This means my brother Bruno and I go potty outside. We try to run as fast as we can to door. Sometimes we barely make if we just woke up. That’s ok because we are only 9 weeks old…. Each day we get further out the door and down the sidewalk. We get paw bumps for trying so hard and doing a great job! While going potty outside we are also learning to walk on a leash. I don’t mind at all; I go right along side my foster family.
I like all the new noises I hear outside, it’s so much fun learning!
Bruno and I are learning to sleep in our very own kennels. We still get to be next to each other, but foster mommy says soon we will each have our own forever families.
There are even cats at my new foster home. I am curious about them 😊 Maybe someday those furballs will want to play with me.
I am treat motivated and this will be very helpful with my training.
Please watch for the event notices and come meet me!!
Love ~ Bowie the Ham!
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
