History: We recently welcomed a deserving group of kiddos from an overcrowded shelter who needed a second chance to a good life. They are unique and so special in their own ways and each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!
A Note from the Foster: My nickname is happy feet. When you come home from being away I get so happy to see you my feet start going. My foster parents think it’s the cutest thing. Then we go immediately outside where you gotta let me potty a couple times before we go back inside. I love being outside but I don’t bark at anything even though all movements interest me. I walk really well on a leash and pull only when I get a good sniff of something I really wanna smell which isn’t often. I get along with my resident dog but she’s 1 and sometimes has more energy then me so my foster parents will separate us when I go near my kennel. I think my foster parents understand that their resident dog is younger then me. When their resident dog is in her kennel and I’m out by myself I absolutely love to sit and cuddle with my foster parents, right by their side and I do fall asleep almost every time. They keep saying I’m a very calm, laid back boy and I get treats when I sit like a good boy which I am doing well at. I also know my name is Charlie and do well at coming when they say Charlie come but I forgot my name sometimes. My foster parents also have a 3 year old child but I don’t know much about him because I just left the little short human alone. I also really like my food, I try to eat my residents dogs food all the time but they take it away so I guess I have to wait until breakfast or dinner. I don’t beg but I really look forward to my meals and will lick my bowl clean every time. I would probably be okay being the only dog but I do like getting my energy out with my resident dog that might be why I fall asleep once they separate us. I can’t wait to find my forever home so I can show them all the good things my foster parents love about me and my happy feet dance :)

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
