History: Chick is a super beautiful little lady who needed a second chance to a good life. She is eager to please and hopes to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Looking into those beautiful blue eyes, Chick melted her Foster Mom's heart within minutes of meeting each other. Unlike some breeder release dogs, Chick or Chicklet, Chickadee, ChickaBoomBoom and Wiggle Worm (we call here all 5 names depending on what she's doing) is extremely social and LOVES to snuggle anytime she can. She is 30 lbs, great on a leash and enjoys long walks. She has no problem keeping up with our resident Dog who is an 85 lb Golden Retriever. She is very people oriented (young, old, Male and Female) and dog friendly. Chick hasn't met a cat yet, but given how friendly she is overall, our guess is she would get along just fine. Chick is not very food motivated and we aren't sure if she's just not liking the kibble (we've tried dry and wet) or if she's still just adjusting to her new environment. She is such a happy, friendly, loving, cuddle bug, we are really enjoying having her with us. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night without issues and is working on getting house broken. She has had some accidents but she's very smart and has been watching our resident dog closely when we are outside for potty breaks and mirrors what he's doing....so cute to watch her watch him! She would make any family or individual a wonderful companion.
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
