History: Cowboy is a handsome fellow who needed a second chance from a rural area. He is a sweet playful boy who is learning manners with the help of his foster family. He hopes to find his forever home soon!
A note from the foster: Cowboy is a playful, lively dog.
He loves playing with other dogs and following his humans around. He’s super curious and wants to be included in everything. While his humans work or are hanging out, he enjoys chewing on his toys and can keep himself entertained for a while. He also really enjoys spending time outside and going for walks. Other than pulling a little, he’s does super well on a leash!
We think he would do best either in a home with no other dogs or dogs that are active and like to play. He’s really good at trying to get our resident dogs to play even when they don’t want to, so having dogs who are okay with this is definitely important.
He’s learning boundaries and self control as he doesn’t always understand his play biting can be a little too hard. He has already improved so much though.
We have noticed he loves touching his humans, whether it be when he chews on his bone or is taking a nap. Another wonderful thing about him, is that he is potty trained.
Overall, Cowboy is such a great dog and is a big lover! He’s pretty darn handsome too!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
