History: We received a plea to help a breeding facility who had shut their doors and closed their Boston Terrier operation done completely. They are all working on their socialization and trusting people as some have had very little to none human interactions while others are a bit more social in some ways. They are each so deserving of a forever home and hope to find their own soon!
A note from the foster: Meet Emma, the sweet and playful Boston with a mischievous side that will keep you laughing! While she may be a bit shy when meeting new people, Emma quickly warms up and reveals her fun-loving personality. Her favorite pastimes include following her foster mom around the house, hoping for any food that might drop, and snuggling up on the couch for a good nap—complete with adorable snoring!
Potty training is going great, and as long as you're tuned in to her signals and keep a routine, accidents are easy to avoid. Emma is also a fan of canine companions and does well with most dogs, although she tends to be a bit bold in her introductions and doesn’t shy away from a challenge. She happily shares space with her three foster brothers, big and small, though she and her foster sister have a bit of a spirited dynamic that requires a watchful eye.
Emma is curious about cats, but she generally leaves them alone—she’s more interested in making human friends!
She’s also doing well in her kennel overnight, though she prefers having another dog within eyesight when her people are away. Emma does experience a bit of separation anxiety and barks when left alone in her kennel, but she’s working on building confidence, and we think a forever home will be just what she needs to thrive.
This sweet girl is good in a fenced-in yard or out on a leash, and while she comes when called, she's still learning other basic commands. She loves car rides, because it means she gets to share in the fun. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts playful, snuggly, and full of character, Emma just might be the perfect match for you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
