History: Esther is a super sweet girl who arrived to rescue pregnant and expecting a litter of puppies after running as a stray in a rural area. She was a wonderful momma and most of her puppies have now been adopted into wonderful homes but Esther still waits….she is a bit unsure of people she does not know and will need a patient family to work through her confidence and trust building. Once she is familiar with you, she is such a lover and would make a great addition to the right home!
A note from the foster: Esther is a beautiful girl whose fur is as soft as cotton. She is playful and loves other dogs. Esther’s foster family nicknamed her Boop Boop. She is a shy girl, and as she tries to get to know you and trust you she will boop boop you with her nose. It is her way of showing affection and curiosity. Esther is fully potty trained. She will ring the bell hanging from the door to go outside. She is treat motivated. She sits for treats. Esther will get very attached to “her people”. It does take her time to open up. She is shy. She has come such a long way since we first got her as a foster. She delivered 7 beautiful puppies in foster care. Esther needs a patient adopter who will give her time & space to adapt to a new home and love from her new people. If you are willing to open your hearts to her; in time she will return your love.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
