History: Frappe is a super adorable medium sized lab mix who needed help from an unfortunate situation in Mexico where he was transferred to Coco’s Heart to get a second chance. He has been doing great in rescue and dreams of finding his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Frappe is a happy, friendly pup who made his way from Mexico and is loving his new life in Wisconsin! He even experienced snow for the first time and handled it like a pro. While he can be a little timid when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and becomes your best buddy in no time.
This adorable guy has the cutest underbite and the best curly tail! He’s a playful pup who loves to run, play with his toys, and engage in a good game of tug. But when playtime is over, he’s happy to curl up for a cozy nap while his humans watch TV or are getting things done. He also likes watching TV himself. If there is a dog on the screen he does the cutest head tilt and will even whine and bark at the tv.
Frappe is making great progress with potty training—he just needs his water intake moderated and regular potty breaks. He keeps his crate dry all night and during the day when left alone. He’s also learning to walk on a leash; he doesn’t pull but tends to zigzag a little (he’s working on it!).
Since he still has a bit of puppy energy, he occasionally picks up things that aren’t his toys, but he listens well when told “no” and finds something appropriate instead. He’s also working on keeping all four paws on the ground when excited, so dog-savvy kids would be a great match for him.
Frappe is currently the only dog in his foster home but has met other pups and people and done great! He’s not a big fan of getting into the car, but once inside, he’s a calm and well-behaved passenger.
If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and playful companion who’s eager to learn and love, Frappe is your guy!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
