Hannah

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Mini Poodle
Age: DOB: 02/2018
Weight: 12.8 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Does well on a schedule!

History and A note from the Foster: A Note from the Foster: Hannah was recently returned to rescue, after a brief adoption experience. Hannah is a sweetheart, a smart little cutie pie.  But, she is very shy of humans.  Her foster family believes some of her anxiety and apprehension is caused from poor eyesight. So by approaching slowly and keeping her on a lead allows her to feel more safe.  She is about 7 years old and weighs about 12 1/2 lbs.. She is up to date all vaccines and spayed. She has spent the past couple of months building up her confidence and is ready to look for her forever person(s) to enjoy life with.

Hannah is a pretty quiet girl. As she has become more comfortable, her foster family is seeing her express herself more vocally.  She will whimper a bit when excited and will bark to let her people know when she is done in the yard and when it is time for breakfast.  Hannah enjoys being outside and has enjoyed her foster home with a fenced-in yard. She also enjoys a little run, play, sniff time in the yard with her foster dog pal and really enjoys going on walks. When it is time to go for a walk, she shows her excitement with a bout of zoomies.

At her foster home, she enjoys following her person from room to room. During the day, she lies in her bed in the home office. She also has a bed in the kitchen and family room. While she is not yet comfortable with being too close for cuddles and physical attention, she wants to be close by her people.  During family movie time she has slowly built up the courage to be on the couch and has learned from her foster dog pal that popcorn is quite enjoyable.  On occasion when she is left alone, Hannah shows signs of separation anxiety. She is crate trained and when there is no one to be with her at the house, she goes willingly to her kennel and settles down well.  She also sleeps in her kennel through the night.  Hannah has the most potential to thrive in an environment where someone is home most of the day. Retirees or individuals who work from home would be the perfect fit for her. She loves to be around her people and would enjoy a household where she’s not left alone for long periods of time.

Hannah is searching for a person or persons who are interested in caring for a quiet little sweetheart that will need a lot of patience and routine in order to be touched and interacted with. Hannah will be a true companion and with time will open up and show you her inner spark.

Adoption Fee: $500 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
