History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of reported poodle mixes from an unfortunate situation. They arrived to rescue and are each so unique in their own ways. They are a bit timid at first however warm up quickly and are absolutely wonderful dogs!
A Note from the Foster: Ian is SUCH a great dog! He is friendly, fun, and loving! He does excellent with 5 young children. He lounges on our deck with our Cocker Spaniel most afternoons if warm out. He has been around cats and a 2 legged chihuahua, and has had no issues with them. He is quiet in his kennel. We love how he wags his tail and slowly stretches in the morning when we greet him. We wish we were in a place to adopt him but are not, so want to be certain he finds an excellent home!
He is a "teenager" so working on leash pulling, basic commands, and jumping but he is a quick learner so far. He is also known to take kids toys to chew on but is okay when we remove them and give him a dog toy:) He has torn apart a stuffed animal joyfully...but he is eager to please and learning. He has not had accidents when on schedule.
He is also very quiet and would be great for an adopter looking for a quiet friend :) All in all a wonderful buddy!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
