History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Howdy, I'm Jack Jack! I came up from an over crowded shelter in Texas and boy, I'm loving my new life!
I'm a handsome short stocky boy who has so much love to give. My foster mom is stumped as to what I could be mixed with but these short legs are definitely one of my unique features and I'm only around 40 lbs.
I'm an angel in my kennel and I sleep through the night without a sound!
I'm catching on quick to where I'm supposed to do my business and it's outside!
I love getting zoomies outside and love to hoard my toys in my kennel! I love having so many toys to choose from. I also enjoy curling up at my foster moms feet and taking naps or cuddling on the couch.
Lloud word tends to get overwhelming at times and sometimes I'd rather sit back and observe. I tend to warm up to girls much quicker then men! My foster dad is trying very hard to show me that men aren't scary!
My foster siblings are also helping to show me the good life of how to be a brave pup!
I hope to find my forever home soon!
Love, Jack 🩵

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
