History: Jeanie is a super adorable little girl who needed a second chance to a good life. She arrived to rescue eager to please and has her paws crossed to meet you soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi. Allow me to introduce you to Jeanie! She is a beautiful 10 pound Bichon Frise that is 5 years old. She has been living with my husband and I along with our resident black labrador with no issues at all. Jeanie LOVES people and will dance on her back legs until you bend down to pet her or pick her up for hugs. She has such a cute and lovable personality. She has started playing with small stuffed animal by carrying them around and will play a bit of fetch with me when I throw them. She loves her two meals a day and treats in-between. She is good with going potty outside when on a schedule. We are still learning to poop outside. I think it will go better when it’s not minus degrees outside. She does poop in the same area of our laundry room on puppy pads so for now that works. Jenny is good on a leash for walks when nicer out and most nights she sleeps thru on a dog bed next to my bed surrounded by her stuffed animals. It’s so cute! I think she wakes up in the early morning hours cold and wants to come cuddle with me in bed to get warm. During the day she has a dog bed in a wire kennel and is great in there. Because of her previous 5 years I don’t like to keep her in there longer than she must be. She does have a voice when she hears strange noises so you may want to keep that in mind if you live someplace with shared walls. She will be an amazing dog for someone. Please contact the rescue to set up a time to visit her.
Jeanie will be available for adoption following her spay and teeth cleaning on February 23rd.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
