History: Kody FKA Arctic is a handsome young boy who unfortunately has been returned to rescue twice :( He is a good boy who thrives off routine and consistency. He is on a special food diet to help limit any upset tummy issues and has been thriving on that!
A Note from the Foster: 🩵❄️Kody FKA Arctic is a strikingly beautiful malamute pup! As a foster home with plenty of husky/malamute experience, Arctic really stands out for how well-behaved and ‘chill’ he is.
He loves to cuddle far more than your average husky breed. He walks incredibly well on a leash and plays great with other dogs. Arctic loves a good chew toy and will work on one for hours.
Around people he is quiet, gentle, curious and perceptive. If he’s separated from you by room or crate, he’s a little whiney to start but he will calm himself soon. He sometimes gets chatty if he hears other dogs barking in the house or neighborhood, but otherwise he is MUCH less talkative than our resident malamute dog. Before bedtime you’ll find him quietly curled up in the corner of the couch waiting for you to go to bed.
Arctic is both potty and crate trained. He has a prey drive so he will not do well with cats/small animals.
Arctic is a stunning, sweet and playful malamute who cannot wait to be yours ❄️🩵
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
