History: Lena is a beautiful girl who is doing well in her foster home but working on her trust and confidence yet. She is hoping to find a patient family willing to take things slow and go at her pace. She is such a deserving girl and hopes to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Lena is just the sweetest, prettiest girl. She was a breeder release so humans do still scare her, but she is treat motivated as well as it would be helpful for her to ha e a fur sibling to look up to and watch how great life can be when you can trust your humans...
Lena has become very comfortable with me, but she is still scared of my husband. We keep her on a leash at all times, but she is going in and out potty with all the resident dogs and she loves potty treats. She still does t let me just pick her up, but..... if I'm sitting on the couch watching TV or in the recliner she will either jump up or let me help her up as she loves TV cuddle time.
During the day she sleeps on a dog bed in my office or just outside my office door on a rug. At night I kennel her next to my bed and she is quiet as a mouse all night long.
As scared as she still is she gets so excited when I come home she won't let me pet her always, but she bouncy, happy and her tail is a wagging.
She was very quiet when she first arrived, but is starting to use her voice here and there. Had someone over the other night and she gave out a few barks then settled down.
Did I mention she is just the sweetest and prettiest girl!
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
