History: Lulu Lemon is a beautiful JRT who was surrendered to rescue by a commercial breeding facility. She is beyond sweet and is continuing to work on her confidence and trust building. She would make a great addition to a lucky home of her very own soon!

A note from the foster: Lulu is a sweet 12lb girl who came from a breeder and has blossomed into a wonderful little pup.

Fast movements near her startle her so that’s why a home without kids is best. But she’s done great at our house with a group of people and at relative’s houses.

Once she gets to know you she’s very affectionate. She’s a curious girl with a lot of life left and a lot of love to give.

Lulu really likes dogs and lives with big and small ones. She also has been around cats with no issues. She would make a great companion for another smaller dog. She likes playing with our 25 lb male.

Lulu is crate trained but she would love to be in a home where her person or people are home most of the time, and also like to take her with them wherever they go. She loves car rides and enjoys sniffing out the window.

She would also be an awesome walking buddy. She loves walks and is great on a leash.

For house training she does great when regularly let out. She also starts running around if she needs to go out and has started to go to the door.

She’s a wonderful eater, not picky at all. She has learned to sit for a treat. She also listens really well and understands the tone in your voice.

Other things Lulu has shown she loves are:
-Snuggling in blankets or on a pillow.
-Sitting on top of the couch to look out the window.
-Scratches and pets!
-Little stuffed squeaky toys.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
