History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed our help from an unfortunate situation. They arrived to rescue seeking a second chance and are looking forward to finding their forever homes soon!
A note from the foster: Marnie has been with me for 2 months now and she is gaining confidence every single day. She’s finally learning how to play with stuffed animals and tennis balls. She absolutely loves to play with the resident dog outside where they could stay out there all day long chasing each other.
From Marnie herself: Marnie has been with me since October 2022. Since arriving at my house, she has really gained a lot of confidence. She was completely shut down at first. She would growl in her kennel if someone would walk by her. She doesn’t mind being in her kennel but would rather be around me and the resident dog. She does very well one on one but more than a couple of people is a bit overwhelming for her. She wouldn’t do well with little kids as she is still a little skittish.
Hey everyone, my name is Marnie or as my foster momma calls me Miss Marnie Marie or foxy lady. I’m a huge fan of snuggles, I always want to be near my foster momma and foster brother. He’s twice as big as me but he lets me be the boss! There’s also a cat that lives here. I don’t like him and will growl at him if he gets too close to me. He reminds me of the rabbits outside that I like to chase around the backyard. I was scared of the neighbor guy behind us at first but he brings us treats and I let him pet me. I may be a little lady but I’ll always let you know when someone is walking up to your front door.
I’m looking for a family who will give me lots of love and patience as I get acclimated. Another confident dog would also be a great thing for me. Smaller kids might scare me a little bit.
I am potty trained, up to date on shots, and spayed. I know my forever family is out there somewhere and I can’t wait to meet them!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
