History: Melody is a beautiful little momma dog who arrived to rescue with her litter of five puppies after needing a second chance. They arrived to rescue and immediately warmed our hearts with how sweet and goofy Melody is. They are now officially ready to start their journeys in finding their forever homes soon!

Melody has stayed pretty true to the Terrier personality. She has moderate energy and is always ready for an adventure. Squirrels in the yard? Not on Melody's watch. Her strong will,  bossy attitude and fearlessness keep all little critters out of HER yard. In need of a bodyguard? Melody will voice her concerns about anything getting too close to you. She would love it if her neck could swivel 360°. A day will not pass without hearing her barks and whines. In true Terrier fashion, she marches to the beat of her own music. These are things only a true lover of Terriers can appreciate. 

Despite Melody's sometimes spicy nature, she is a lover of people and her loyalty is unmatched. She fits perfectly in the nook of her foster dad's neck and joins him on any nap time opportunity. She appreciates every day she has with you. Her gratitude shines through every wag of her tail. She doesn't ask for much...just a loving home where she can be herself.  A day doesn't go by without her making us smile and laugh at her quirkiness. She's the kind of dog who can turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
