History: Moon is a super beautiful little lady who needed a second chance to a good life. She is eager to please and hopes to find her forever home soon!

Looking for the perfect blend of chill companion and curious explorer? Moon is your girl! This sweet pup spends half her time as a master relaxation expert (her specialty: being a living weighted blanket on your lap!) and the other half playfully discovering the world around her.

Moon is making great progress on her training journey - she's getting the hang of "sit," learning her name, and doing well with potty training. While she's still working on some skills like leash manners and elevator confidence, she's proven to be a quick learner! At bedtime, she settles nicely into her kennel after a little gentle encouragement, although I am sure she would do great sleeping in bed with her future person/family if that is preferred.

This thick-coated beauty will need regular grooming and a good vacuum cleaner, but she makes up for the extra housework with endless cuddles. Moon thrives on attention and feels safest when she's right on top of her humans - making her the perfect companion for someone who wants a constant snuggle buddy!

She's currently living with cats and while she's very interested in them, she's respectful and just wants to figure out what these mysterious creatures are all about!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
