History: Ned is a handsome boy who melted the hearts of everyone he met. He is truly such a special boy who is incredibly smart and deserving. He needed help from an unfortunate situation in a rural area and hopes to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Ned – Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold!
Ned is an 83-pound hunk of love looking for a patient, understanding family—especially one familiar with the quirky, lovable nature of bulldogs!
This big guy adores his naps but is always up for some playtime. He doesn’t quite realize his size, so a home with older children would be best. He’s a champion bone chewer and loves his toys, understanding exactly which ones are his. While he enjoys an occasional game of fetch, he’s also content just hanging out. Ned would do well as either a solo pup or with other dogs—he’s been tolerant of his playful foster siblings and is happy to share his space.
Ned finds comfort in having a safe retreat, and his kennel is his happy place. Loud noises can startle him, but he’s learning that he’s safe and loved no matter what. He’s kept his kennel clean and has had no accidents when on a schedule.
While Ned is an affectionate boy, he’s still learning to fully trust. He’ll come in for some love and scratches before retreating for another nap, but he’s spending more and more time with his people every day.
Smart as a whip, Ned already knows sit, shake, go potty, and come when called. Any family would be lucky to welcome this special boy into their home—could that be you?
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
