History: Nostalgia is a handsome young boy who has been working on his confidence and trust in his foster home and would do best with a patient family of his very own soon!
A note from the foster: Let me tell you a little bit about Nostalgia (or best known in our home as Chester) ....
He is such a great boy! This little guy lived his first years as a money maker for a commercial breeding facility. Since coming into rescue, he's been learning what it's like to be in a home and cared for. Nostalgia is apprehensive and a bit nervous, but overall, he's doing so great at learning to be brave! He enjoys having you near him and will follow you around much of the time. He enjoys being pet, but he does need a minute to relax first, but once he does, he truly enjoys it and will put his paw up on you if you stop. He does great with other dogs and with older kids. He is nervous with loud noises (storms, fireworks, loud noises on the home). A home that is on the quieter side will be best. He keeps his crate clean and stays in there when we aren't home and at night.
Nostalgia has made such great progress since coming into rescue and it will be exciting to see him to continue to learn and grow into the great boy he will be.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
