History: Palma is a STUNNING, like REALLY stunning young girl who warms our hearts with how sweet she is. She is a unique lady who is soaking up being in rescue and officially ready to find a forever home of her very own soon!
A note from the foster: Hi guys, my name is Palma and I’m sooooo excited to be here! You see I traveled all the way from Mexico and somehow found my way to my foster mom’s house in Minnesota. Boy it’s been a long trip! But she says my journey isn’t done yet I still have one more step and that is finding my forever home. Could that be yours?
I am so thankful for her welcoming me into this temporary family especially because the world is still a pretty scary place. I’m starting to figure it out but there are just so many new things to get used to. I still get scared getting into a car but once in I guess it’s not that bad. Also when new people come into the house I make sure to check them out first just in case; especially men. So far they’ve all been approved after I’ve had a chance to sniff but you can never be too careful. My foster mom says I need to work on my confidence more, I don’t know what that means but she is usually right.
I’m doing really good with potty training and kennel training. Sometimes I need a second to settle in but I’m pretty young so foster mom says I’ll get it soon. I love playing with the other dogs in the house both small and large. It took a little while before I was comfortable enough but now they are teaching me new games. I love toys especially squeaky toys and ones I can chew but I have gotten a little too excited and destroyed a couple soft ones. Oops. I also love my people and constantly look to them to know if I’m doing a good job, usually I am. I can usually be found following my foster mom around the house.
My foster mom always says I’m the sweetest girl and I hope I can show you how sweet I really am.
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
