History: This sweet girl needed help from an overcrowded shelter. She has settled into rescue and quickly won our hearts. She is a beautiful girl that is missing an eye. She is hoping to find a family of her own!
A note from the foster:
Hi Y'all! My name is Sadie! I am looking for my forever home. I come from down south, Missouri, and my foster mama says I am a typical southern bell. In fact my foster dad calls me Sadie Bell when I am getting my zooms out. I like being called a Bell! I am crate trained, as long as you aren't within my sight. I mean, I am lovable, so if you are still around, why would I be crated? Now, my foster mama says sometimes dogs need a rest from all the people, but me? I think she doesn't want my help cookin' or somethin'. I hear "Sadie get down." a lot during dinner fixin' time. I am really well behaved when it is bed time and work time though. I only cry a little, but settle down to sleep after a few minutes. Foster mama says I am much better than when I arrived.
I love attention, cheese and cuddles. I need to learn that every time someone looks at me doesn't mean I need to get petted. But I am beautiful, so I am pretty sure mama is lying about that. OH! I have learned to sit for treats, and I know what a leash is, and LOVE LOVE ADORE walks. Walks and getting my zooms out in a fenced yard are some of my favorite things. Walks allow me to smell everything, but I am still working on my leash manners. Foster dad says me getting my zooms out looks like dancin'. I like that, since he will dance with me sometimes. Being outside with my foster family at the lake or in their yard is sooooo much fun. I can just spend hours smelling stuff all over the yard. Sometimes I do howl, but if I am told to be quiet I listen. Unless it is a squirrel, squirrels are bad.
I am good with kids, but would have more patience with kids over 7 years old. I also would do well as a second dog, I get lonely and need playtime and my foster family has two big dogs I play with all the time. I love wrestlin' with the boys (I always win :) ).
I love to sleep. If allowed I would sleep until about 10 am every morning and go to bed at 9 pm. I am house broken, and I can ring the bells to go outside. I am also made of spun sugar, and very much a girly girl, I don't do RAIN. I will go outside if it is rainin' but watch to make sure I go potty. ;0)
I am looking for a forever family that will give me structure and love me with their whole heart! My foster mama says I am a good girl who has a lot of love to give a family. I just want to belong somewhere with people who love me.
