History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. These kiddos are SO sweet, social, friendly, and already have a great start at basic obedience and mannerisms.
A Note from the Foster: Hello humans
Firstly let me kindly introduce myself ( my foster mom says I should always use manners) My name is Shrub however my foster family calls me Oreo. I am approximately 10 months.
I have been learning so much at my foster home! I am almost all the way potty trained! My foster parents are very excited about that!
I sleep in my kennel all night without any fuss. I also kennel very easily for my foster parent's.
I love to go for walks and I walk very well on a leash.
I love to follow my foster parents every where! My foster mom says I am a velcro dog, always stuck to them 😃 I just love humans so much!
I get along with the resident dogs in the house.
I love to lay on my foster parents on the couch. When I say lay on my foster parents, I really mean lay on them usually I lay with my head on their chest. I will say sometimes when I am laying on my foster parents and one of the resident dogs climb up I have growled at the dog because I want my foster parents all to myself. However my foster parents have been working hard on that so I learn to share the lap.
I will play fetch, still working on dropping the ball for you. However I will bring the ball to you.
I am working very hard on not jumping on people when I meet them. It's just so hard I LOVE meeting new people! My foster mom says my new furever home will still need to help me continue with my manners.
I have not been around cats and really not sure what I would do around one. I wonder if they are as cute as me 🤔

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
