History: Talia is a beautiful girl who was surrendered to rescue by a commercial breeding program. She arrived to rescue in desperate need of a bath and TLC. She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever family soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi there! I’m a sweet little Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, and I’m ready to find my forever home! I’m small, adorable, and full of love, with big cartoon eyes that will melt your heart. I’m a calm, easygoing girl who loves cuddles and attention. While I’m happy to hang out in my cozy dog bed, I also enjoy sitting on the couch with you, and I love to follow you around the house. I’m doing great with my foster brother (a chihuahua), though I mostly prefer relaxing rather than playing too much. I walk well on a leash and am learning to navigate stairs. I’m still figuring out snow (what’s the deal with that cold stuff?), but I’m getting the hang of it. I’ve even been doing well with potty breaks outside. I’m not a fan of crates and would love to sleep out of one at night, maybe curled up next to you. I’m quiet when left out while my foster parents are gone and can even sleep in my crate at night if I can see them. Sometimes I greet them with a little chatter or a cute howl, just to let them know I’m excited to see them! I’m looking for a home where I can just relax and soak up all the love. A calm, low-key household would be perfect for me, and I promise to be the sweetest, most loyal companion you could ask for. If you’re ready to give me a cozy spot in your heart and home, I’d love to meet you!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
