History: Poor Tank needed rescue from an overcrowded shelter. He has settled into his foster home and has won our hearts. He is a sweet old man, visually impaired, hoping to find a family of his own. He enjoys the company of people and other dogs.
A note from the foster:
Tank is such a sweet little guy. He's very low-key, low maintenance and would be great for a family with or without kids, other pets (both dogs and cats) and anyone looking for a cuddle buddy. With the weather warming up he seems to be on the move a little more, wandering around the yard taking in all kinds of smells. He's not a runner so I rarely use a lease for him.
Tank has greatly improved at navigating from room to room in the house, locating his food and water bowls (his visual impairment doesn't seem to hinder him all that much once he knows the house layout). For what he lacks in sight, he has an impeccable nose for treats!
His schedule doesn't vary much day to day as his preferred spot is in his bed while I am at work and even in the evening. He's very consistent with potty breaks outside and is getting more familiar with the outside layout. He is very much a lap dog and will welcome any and all belly rubs. You'll find his tail-wagging if you call his name and there's nothing he loves more than a peanut butter kong.
