History: We received a plea to help an adorable litter of shepherd mixes from a rural area with the help of a partnering organization. They are SUCH sweet kiddos who learn very quickly and aim to please. They are hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A note from the foster: Hello!  We (my 4 sisters and I) cannot wait to meet you as we love everyone ! It all started this day a really nice lady put us in the back of her car to drive us to our foster mom’s place. We weren’t sure what was going on..when the trunk door open  - we started to feel pretty good as we heard happy voices - “they were so good on the drive.” “WOW - they are so quiet no barking at all” “ I think I just died and went to heaven -these look like purebreds ! Can they be any more gorgeous ?!!”

from that day we have settled into a pretty solid routine. We stay in a huge pen with a potty area for us. We don’t mind it all and sleep there from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am. Foster mom has us out for an hour every two hours - and says to be proud she never had to clean a mess in our play area. We have met a bunch of different people who come to play with us and think they are so fun. We make sure to give them lots of kisses and cuddles so they know how much we appreciate them! The other day foster mom introduced us to what we think could be our uncle and BOY did we LOVE that !!!

Our foster mom says that our personalities are soo similar it really just depends on the time of the day. She says that there is a reason shepherds are her favoritest ever - we are smart, playful and cuddly. And our eyes…she’s says when we gaze into her eyes she says she’s not sure how she can let us go ❤️

So a little bit about me - I am the first one whose one ear is thinking about going up!  Foster mom likes to call me her lap dance girl or Star bc while we are playing - I like to take breaks and come running over to hear and sprawl across her lap. Then after she tells me how much she loves me, how pretty I am, what a good girl I am - I go running off ! I hope you are someone that wants to tell me those things too!!

History: Casey is a super beautiful puppy who arrived to rescue at just a few days old with her littermates and mom, Adora. They settled into rescue and unfortunately broke with ringworm :( The good news- they are doing really really well and on the mend so are now officially ready to find their forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Casey is strikingly beautiful with the most unique brindle coat that turns heads wherever she goes! As of mid-March, sweet Casey is 5 months old and weighs 30 lbs. She is expected to grow into a medium to large dog. As one of Adora’s remaining three puppies, Casey is the smallest of the trio. Despite being in her foster home for only a short time, she is mastering potty training (when kept on a schedule) and keeps her kennel clean at night for about 6 hours, takes a potty break, and then goes back to her kennel for a few more hours of sleep. 

Casey would be perfectly content as the only pup in the house but could also live with other doggy siblings. Her reaction to cats is unknown. Casey currently lives with two dogs and two young children (ages 3 and 6). The youngest child’s unpredictable movements and loud outbursts can be a little intimidating, so she tends to keep some distance. She has no issues with the more respectful 6-year-old and LOVES the adults in the family. Casey is more independent than her brother, Danny. She’ll curl up and take a nap alone when she’s tired but loves a good belly scratch and snuggle when the opportunity arises.

Casey is relatively quiet, though she may vocalize when the garbage truck passes by or when a neighbor's dog is howling. However, she quickly settles down. Casey goes bananas for food and treats. She’ll do anything for a yummy snack, which has made leash training and potty-training progress better than expected! Despite her love for food, she has shown no signs of resource guarding, which is a huge plus when living with other dogs and small children.

Overall, Casey is a beautiful sweetheart. She is very expressive and lights up when she sees her foster mom and dad in the morning. She has stolen our hearts and will undoubtedly do the same with her new family if given the chance.

Mia is a beautiful shepherd mix momma who needed help from our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort and arrived to rescue very, very pregnant. She has been the very best momma who has done such a great job at caring for her pups and they are now officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own soon!

A note from the foster: These puppies are the definition of healthy, happy, and well-loved! Sweet, social, and endlessly playful, they’re an absolute joy to have around. They get along wonderfully with my resident dogs (both 3 years old and 55–65 lbs) and are equally comfortable snuggling up for cuddles or running off to explore their surroundings.

What’s interesting is how similar they are in temperament—each one is curious and adventurous, but not overly mischievous. None of them stand out as the troublemaker, goofball, or the super shy one. They all have a balanced mix of independence and playfulness, whether they’re romping around together or entertaining themselves.

When it’s time to rest, they find a quiet spot to nap, and the others respect their space. They’re surprisingly good at sharing—whether it’s toys, food, or attention, there hasn’t been a single disagreement among them.

These puppies are everything you could hope for—sweet, social, and well-behaved. They’re ready to bring their love and playful energy to their forever homes!

History: I am Ember’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Ember is a beautiful young shepherd mix who found herself pregnant in an overcrowded area and needed help urgently. She arrived to rescue and soon after gave birth to an adorable litter of kiddos who are now officially ready to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A note from the foster: Hi, I’m Jett! I’m a 10 week old lab/shepherd mix, and my mama is Ember. Recently I joined my Foster Family  - I’m having so much fun and learning new things! 

My foster family says I’m the cuddliest puppy they’ve ever met, probably because I just love naps snuggled next to the adults, kids, or the other dogs in the house SO much! I also love to chew on dog toys and am learning what are toys and what are not toys, like shoes. Sometimes I like to play with the big dogs and I know when they don’t feel like playing. I also learned what some words mean, like “sit” and “down” already! I’ll learn anything for a treat! 

I go outside a lot, and I make sure to always go potty right away because they tell me I’m a good girl and I get another treat! I’m learning that outside is the only place to go potty and only had a few accidents. 

The one thing that is not my favorite is staying in a crate by myself. I howl a little bit because I’m so sad to be away from everything, but eventually go back to napping again. I don’t mind being in there if I can see my family or the other dogs though. I sleep all night too (did I mention I love sleeping??) but sometimes ask to go outside once in the night.

My Foster Family says I’m the best puppy that will make a family so happy one day soon. I can’t wait to meet them!

A Note from the Foster: If you’re looking for an A+ cuddler, Liz is your girl! Liz is a very sweet and affectionate puppy. She is playful, friendly, curious, and smart. She sleeps through the night without making a peep and keeps her kennel clean. She is doing great at potty training, and the few accidents she has had in the house are primarily my fault as I was still getting to know her and her queues for needing to go out. She is also very food motivated and has started to learn some commands like sit. Liz loves to be wherever you are! She can be shy at first, but she warms up quickly.

Liz loves to play with other dogs, has been exposed to cats (to which she was curious but otherwise indifferent), and also does great with young children. She also really enjoys hanging out in her kennel and often goes in there on her own to play with a toy or take a nap.

Liz would do great in a home that can continue to help her build her confidence and wouldn’t mind her being a bit of a Velcro dog as she loves being near her people!

History: We recently welcomed a litter of blue heeler mix puppies who were surrendered by an Amish farm. They are social, sweet, and friendly kiddos who are each hoping to find their forever homes soon!

A Note from the Foster: Puma loves all the people, dogs, cats and goats she's met so far.  She loves to follow around our 3 year old female heeler/eskimo mix, and she's great friends with some big male neighbor dogs.  She also loves to play with one of our cats. The other cats give her some swipes when she gets too close, and she walks away. 

Puma is mostly potty trained, with a few rare accidents.  She goes into her crate for meals and at night from about 9:30 to 6:30. Her crate is dry in the morning as long as we wake up early with her!  Puma sits for her food, and she's quite good at sitting to be pet or to say please for something she wants your help with. 

Puma is great on the leash and loves to play outside all day.  She also loves toys of all sorts (bring on the squeaks!) and lots of snuggles.

Puma is such an amazing companion and will greet you with the biggest wiggles when you come home!

A note from the foster: Hello!  We (my 4 sisters and I) cannot wait to meet you as we love everyone ! It all started this day a really nice lady put us in the back of her car to drive us to our foster mom’s place. We weren’t sure what was going on..when the trunk door open  - we started to feel pretty good as we heard happy voices - “they were so good on the drive.” “WOW - they are so quiet no barking at all” “ I think I just died and went to heaven -these look like purebreds ! Can they be any more gorgeous ?!!”

from that day we have settled into a pretty solid routine. We stay in a huge pen with a potty area for us. We don’t mind it all and sleep there from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am. Foster mom has us out for an hour every two hours - and says to be proud she never had to clean a mess in our play area. We have met a bunch of different people who come to play with us and think they are so fun. We make sure to give them lots of kisses and cuddles so they know how much we appreciate them! The other day foster mom introduced us to what we think could be our uncle and BOY did we LOVE that !!!

Our foster mom says that our personalities are soo similar it really just depends on the time of the day. She says that there is a reason shepherds are her favoritest ever - we are smart, playful and cuddly. And our eyes…she’s says when we gaze into her eyes she says she’s not sure how she can let us go ❤️

Now for my turn - I should let you know that foster mom calls me Snow bc she says I am the fairest of them all!!! She says I will likely be a plush coat (not a long hair) which she has 2 of!!! I guess that’s why I have such a great prance bc I am heading for the model runway!! I hope you love my looks to want to come meet me!!

Mia is a beautiful shepherd mix momma who needed help from our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort and arrived to rescue very, very pregnant. A note from the foster: These puppies are the definition of healthy, happy, and well-loved! Sweet, social, and endlessly playful, they’re an absolute joy to have around. They get along wonderfully with my resident dogs (both 3 years old and 55–65 lbs) and are equally comfortable snuggling up for cuddles or running off to explore their surroundings.

What’s interesting is how similar they are in temperament—each one is curious and adventurous, but not overly mischievous. None of them stand out as the troublemaker, goofball, or the super shy one. They all have a balanced mix of independence and playfulness, whether they’re romping around together or entertaining themselves.

When it’s time to rest, they find a quiet spot to nap, and the others respect their space. They’re surprisingly good at sharing—whether it’s toys, food, or attention, there hasn’t been a single disagreement among them.

These puppies are everything you could hope for—sweet, social, and well-behaved. They’re ready to bring their love and playful energy to their forever homes!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

Sabrina is a beautiful girl who arrived to rescue mangey and has been making great progress at getting her beautiful coat back!

A Note from the Foster: Sabrina has had her own enclosed area with an open kennel, cushions, blankets, toys, food, water and a potty pad.  She has seemed to thrive in that space the last 2 weeks. Each time that I go to spend time with her, she is coming out of her kennel or relaxing on her big puffy pillow. She uses the potty pad in between her trips outside. She has been going out side alongside my Jack russell, who uses a bell to signal when she has to go potty. She is not so food insecure anymore and is definitely okay when I put the food out or have treats all three dogs. She will sit and wait patiently. Today was the first day where she spent most of it out in the main house with the other two dogs. She got her bath and then played tug of war and ball. I then put her in her kennel upstairs where we were and put a blanket over it and she slept for 2 hours. I think she's going to be a great dog for just about any family as she is still just so grateful to be safe inside a home with human interaction. I have not heard her bark once and she is good about baths and getting cleaned up. She went on a walk with me with a harness and was so curious about everything. I look forward to some warmer weather this week to really get good practice and for going out party and spending time outdoors and on walks with my pup!

I love playing with my three big foster dog siblings, my foster mom, and toys…I LOVE toys!! My foster mom thinks I’m a bird dog, I love chasing the wild birds outside! I also have mastered the game of fetch and I’m trying to master frisbee now, I’m getting there! I love to play and explore, but I also really love to relax and take naps! I’m doing pretty good with crate training, I’m perfectly content in my crate if I can see my mom. If I can’t see her I might cry for a little bit but I’m starting to learn to be patient, I know my mom will always come back. I’m also learning all about potty training. I know to go to the back door and I’m learning to ring some bells but sometimes I have to go too bad and have little accidents….mommy says it’s a work in progress. This past weekend I visited four kids ages 8-13 and I loved them! I also met new adults, doggie friends, two cats, and a flock of chickens! I really wanted to get the chickens, mommy thinks I probably shouldn’t live with chickens because I like them too much! I am interested in cats but also a bit afraid of them, they hiss and swat at me so I run away.

This adorable little girl is equal parts playful and snuggly—she loves romping around with her brother and foster sibling (2 year old golden retriever), but she often takes breaks from play time to find her foster mom for a break and some pets!

Sperry can be a bit timid at times, but she warms up quickly and adores people and other dogs. She’s currently learning all the important puppy things: leash walking, crate training, and potty training. She whines a little when crated but settles quickly and keeps it clean. We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! A Note from the Foster: Hi, I'm Twilight! I'm a 5 month old Boston Terrier puppy with lots of love (and zoomies) to give! I'm up to date on all my vaccines and am getting spayed next month. Playing is my absolute favorite thing to do right now-whether it's with toys, other dogs (I really admire my foster pup sister and like to do what she does), or just running around like a goofball. I love making new furry friends and would be so happy in a home with a playful pup sibling! I also really enjoy cuddling with my foster family. They say I give the best cuddles.

Since I am still a baby, I'm working on potty training, but I'm a smart girl and learning more every day. I'm a little startled by loud noises and sometimes a little timid, but am very brave and like to be curious!

History: I am Ember’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Ember is a beautiful young shepherd mix who found herself pregnant in an overcrowded area and needed help urgently. She arrived to rescue and soon after gave birth to an adorable litter of kiddos who are now officially ready to find forever homes of their very own soon!

Are you looking for a puppy that is full of love and snuggles?! Look no further! I am a family dog in the making. 

I have not met a person I do not like. I get along great with other dogs, and I am really easy-going. 

I love going for a walk nearly as much as I love being cuddled up on the couch with my favorite people or fur friends. I am my foster moms little shadow, but really I just want to make sure I don't miss out on anything exciting or interesting! 

My foster mom says I am so laid back for 12-week old puppy. This quality makes me so adaptable and up for anything. My love language is definitely quality time! 

My foster mom is working hard on all basic puppy things. I am kennel trained, potty trained, and am working on sit and shake. I am learning how to walk on a leash as well as how to come when called off lead.

My dream family would have a lot of love and cuddles to give. My foster mom says I am a fantastic puppy that is going to grow into being a dream dog.
